We really need to talk…

We really need to talk…

I’m launching a new family series this spring, the Bailey Brothers. And you guys. This series. I’m OBSESSED. If you loved the Miles Family and Bootleg Springs, you’re going to adore this new family.

Five brothers raised by their Gram. She calls them a pack of wolves or a bunch of wild animals, and honestly, she’s not wrong. There’s a quirky mountain town embroiled in a generations-long feud. Town pranks, hot firefighters, crazy rumors, nosy neighbors, an out of control gang of squirrels, and a giant statue of a vintage pin-up girl who occasionally gets “bearded.”

Have I mentioned the feels? So. Many. Feels.

I love them SO MUCH.

The series is going to begin a little differently, with a prequel novella. I’ve never done that before, and I admit, I’m really nervous about it. But Grace and Asher’s story is so much richer and deeper with the addition of this novella. There’s a lot to their story that you need to experience with them, not just read about as backstory. I really think this is the best way to give you the best possible beginning to this series.

And really, it just means I’m adding MORE to the series, so everyone wins.

As you might guess, the prequel doesn’t end with Grace and Asher’s HEA. They get an entire, full-length novel for that.

What does that mean for you? Because you’re awesome and I love you, I’m going to release both the prequel and book one back to back in May. Double releases, probably two weeks apart. That should give me just enough time to start breathing again after the prequel before I drop book one. But I don’t want to make you wait for Grace and Asher’s book, so I’m writing like crazy to make sure it’s not only the best book it can be, but ready for you this spring.

After that, the rest of those wild brothers need their stories. I’ll be working on those in between my Dirty Martini Running Club romcoms.

If you haven’t read the Miles Family series, you won’t be lost. The first heroine in the Bailey Brothers series, Grace, appears in the Miles Family as a side character, and she connects the two series. But new readers will be able to jump right in to the Bailey Brothers. Having said that, you should read the Miles Family anyway, because it’s awesome. So, you know, there’s that.

Finally, if you want to add them to your TBR, they’re all up on Goodreads. And once again, the prequel and book one are coming in May.
